The Post Graduate Program in Development Management (PGP-DM) is ISDM's flagship 11 months program to create a cadre of young management professionals for the social sector.

Program Overview
The PGP-DM program offers a comprehensive and specialised curriculum designed to gear students with the necessary knowledge and skills to address complex development challenges. Our seventh cohort is currently running, and we take pride in helping our alums fulfil their dreams of working with leading social purpose organisations (SPOs). 17+ SPOs have been founded by our alumni, creating a significant impact in the development sector. Given the magnitude of social issues facing our country, we need bright, passionate, and empathetic individuals to take a deep dive into understanding these problems and devote themselves to solving them.

The PGP-DM program is divided into 8 terms including Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainability, Economic Reasoning & Public Policy, Intervention Design for Social Impact, Fund Raising, Monitoring and Evaluation, Technology for Social Impact at Scale, Network and Partnerships, and Concepts of Social Work. Attain complete mastery in different electives and get ready to lead high-impact organisations in just 11 months.

ISDM has 350+ placement partners in the sector, and the program’s latest cohorts (2022-23 and 2023-24) have a 100% placement record. While ISDM does not guarantee assured placements, our PGP-DM program prepares our graduates to excel in diverse roles within the sector. Our alumni have secured positions in reputed organisations, reflecting the program's success in equipping students for successful careers in social development.

Terms 1 and 2: Focus on the Knowing component: Intended to build a deep understanding of development to prepare one as an authentic development professional.

Two-week Realising India immersion: The two week immersion in a district that enables the student to engage with ground realities from multiple perspectives.

Term 3 follows with the question, “What am I going to do about what I saw and felt on the ground? How can I intervene to bring change?” The Term delves into the nuts and bolts of designing an intervention by adopting a unique approach to intervention design that is anchored in a systems approach.

About Organizer
