About Organizer

DIT University, formerly Dehradun Institute of Technology, has a legacy spanning over 25 years, having been established in 1998. It transitioned from an autonomous institution recognized by the UGC in 2011 to a university under the DIT University Act in 2013. Today, it's a prominent institution within the Unison group, known for academic excellence in undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs.

Key Milestones and Achievements:

Establishment: DIT University was founded in 1998 by Shri Naveen Agarwal.
Autonomous Status: Recognized as an autonomous institution by the UGC in 2011.
University Status: Achieved university status under the DIT University Act (Uttarakhand Act No. 10 of 2012) in 2013.
Academic Excellence: Offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs, focusing on emerging technologies, innovation, and global partnerships

Accreditation and Recognition:

DIT University is empowered to award degrees as specified under Section 22 & 2(f) of the UGC Act.
The B.Sc. Nursing program is approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) under Section 13 of the Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947.
DIT University has been established by Govt. of Uttarakhand vide Act No.10 of 2013 dated 15th February, 2013.
DIT University has been ranked 81st in the pharmacy category by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024.
DIT University is a member of Association of Indian Universities
The B.Arch Program is approved by The Council of Architecture in Exercise of its powers conferred by Architects Act 1972.
The Pharmacy Programs is approved by The Pharmacy Council Of India u/s 12 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948 for the purpose of registration as a Pharmacist.
Nepal Engineering Council recognizes DIT University, Dehradun
DIT University, Dehradun receives QS-IGAUGE ‘DIAMOND’ rating for OVERALL EXCELLENCE and becomes 2nd in India to be awarded with Diamond rating in FACULTY QUALITY.
